We are looking for an enterprising junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviion programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

** This position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Candides may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance after beginning this work. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigion and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informion. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities
• Knowledge of avionics systems

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evalue vendor software specificions
• Coordine with vendors on software and system integrion
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordine with cybersecurity subject Mter experts
• Participe in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
• Participe in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Stements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimes (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluions of Contractor proposals

• Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207
• Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and software
• Experience with Agile software development processes

Compension SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candide’s experience, educion, training, security clearance, work locion, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corpore compension plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compension range for this position is $70,000 - $122,000 (USD). This estime reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compension package th SimVentions offers.
