The Section 8 according to income waiting list will be open for ONE DAY only for January 30, 2026 from 10 am to 3:30 pm.
This notice serves as an official announcement for the opportunity to sign up for subsidized housing at Central Gardens I.
On the days of the waitlist opening, all adult household members are expected to be present. All required documentation must be presented at this time as well. Please note that Management has the right to refuse an applicant’s application for failing to provide the required documentation, falsifying information, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The back side of this notice will detail the required documentation to bring, as well as answers to frequently asked questions.
*Last, due to limited seating, only adult applicants should arrive to his/her appointment.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION:
Government or State issued Photo ID for all Adult Members (Must be valid)
Birth Certificate for all Members (Long form for children)
Social Security Card for all Members
PROOF OF INCOME/ASSETS:
2 Most recent Paystubs (Must be in consecutive order)
SS/SSI/Pensions Income Letter (Must be within 120 days)
Notarized Letter of Self-Employment (Must be within 120 days)
Notarized Letter of Monetary Donations (Must be within 120 days)
Notarized Letter of Zero Income Certification (Must be within 120 days)

AM I GUARANTEED AN APARTMENT HOME BY PLACING MY NAME ON THE LIST? No, please note that placing your name on the waiting list does not guarantee your household a unit. This only guarantees your household an opportunity to apply for the apartment at a later date.
CAN I SUBMIT COPIES OF MY PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION? No, only original versions of household members’ identification cards, birth certificates, passports, social security cards, etc. will be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
DO YOU ACCEPT PREFERENCES? No, households are pulled from the waiting list strictly by appointment date and time. We do not honor special preferences for individuals that are homeless, shelters, etc.
HOW DO I KNOW MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED? You will receive a receipt of submission prior to leaving on the day of the household’s appointment.
WHO DO I CONTACT FOR ANY QUESTIONS? You may contact the rental office for any waiting list questions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am – 12:00pm.
