Position Summary:
The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial interior installation projects. This role ensures timely, high-quality execution of installations while maintaining strong communication with teams, managing new installs of all flooring (tile, carpet, hardwood, resilient etc) punch lists and deficiencies, and driving customer satisfaction. The Superintendent is accountable for project ownership, delivery, labor, material tracking, and safety compliance.
Essential functions of the position:
Installation Leadership
Lead and supervise installation crews across flooring.
Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
Provide hands-on support and guidance to field teams to maintain productivity and quality.
Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and teams.
Communicate project updates, challenges, and milestones clearly and consistently.
Collaborate to resolve issues and ensure alignment across departments.
Punch Deficiencies
Conduct thorough walkthroughs to identify punch list items and deficiencies.
Coordinate timely resolution and ensure final delivery meets client expectations.
Document and track all corrective actions.
Project Ownership
Take full responsibility for the success of assigned projects from start to finish.
Maintain accountability for schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Tracking of Man Hours Materials
Monitor and record daily labor hours and material usage.
Ensure accurate reporting for billing and project analysis.
Optimize resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Customer Satisfaction
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Ensure a cleanly, professional and courteous presence on job sites.
Address client concerns promptly and effectively.
Safety Compliance
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Secondary Functions of the position:

Onsite Travel Responsibilities:
This position is onsite only in MD, DC and Northern VA and required to report to work in the field or in Waldorf Warehouse.
Required Education:
High School Diploma
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial installation or construction supervision.
Proven leadership in managing field teams and complex projects.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on satisfaction and service.
Proficiency in project tracking tools and reporting systems.
